Captain Varenius: Solar Auxilia void officer, confined to a levitating command cradle after voidfire and acid scars. The Imperial Fists must value him very highly to go to such lengths to keep an ordinary human alive.
Commander Ghent: First Officer of the Ashen. All discipline and hard words, though he looks down with respect when any Astartes draws near.
Magos-Explorator Rhadamanthine (Rha): Mechanicum Red Priest. Instigator of the Societas Solis, the "Sol Club". Though not the official mission commander, Rhadamanthine is why the Ashen is in the Reach in the first place.
Nestor Althanius Veyra: Ancient master Navigator. Deceased (committed suicide by poison)
House Veyra is firmly with the Imperial Fists. In House Veyra, "Nestor" is a title of great honor, not a given name. Technically part of the "Sol Club" but bust with steering the ship, you know.
Navigatrix Iskandra Veyra: Recently promoted to full navigator, Nestor’s grand-niece. Part of the "Sol Club".
